DIFFICULTIES THAT I HAVE OVERCOME IN MY LIFE
As I did my graduation in Electrical Engineering in 2016 and like other person I too thought to write Gate.
So I started preparing for GATE and secured around 7000 + rank in exam. I was devastated with my performance. Then I made up my mind to look for something else. Campus recruitment process was about to begin and I decided to focus on that. I got selected in one reputed Multinational company and I was happy about it. So in the month of September, I started with my corporate journey. That journey helped me to learn about different aspects of technical expertise but didn’t give me an idea about how to drive the business in terms of people management and analysis. Sometimes you are good at something, but it doesn’t mean you take it forward. I always wanted to be a leader of change; a person who can be a game changer, which I believe MBA can bring.
By the time I realized that I want to pursue an MBA, CAT 2017 was just few days away. Although I had no idea about it, but I started preparing for my MBA entrance exam. I couldn’t do well in cat 2017 too.
OPTIONS AVAILABLE:
At that point I was having only two options either go ahead with my corporate job or fight back.
NEVER GIVE UP, DON'T SETTLE:
I choose the 2nd option and with all the courage, energy and strong motivation, I again started preparing for MBA entrance exams. I joined an online coaching for that purpose which actually enhanced my skills and abilities and motivated me every time to do well. I was like, “Ab itna dur aaya hoon toh karke hi jana hain kisi haal mein”.
This time, my CAT score improved a lot but still not enough to get into my dream b school. So, I started preparing XAT and XGMT as well. I started working on my weak areas and tried to analyze the mocks just to find out the blunders done by me. This time I landed up getting 98.97 percentile in XGMT and was really happy about it. All those sleepless nights, 4-5 hours of study after coming from a really hectic office schedule seemed fruitful for me.
I filled up the form for XAHR HRM (Established in XIMB) program as I am inclined towards HR course. Finally on 29th April, I have achieved my dream to get into this prestigious B School.
That day I realized that if any person is having passion, strong determination and willpower; then sky is the limit for him/her. Several failures actually helped me to know my weak areas and helped me to rectify them.
Last but not the least, I would like to say the famous dialogue of Shah Rukh Khan....
“Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho, to puri kainaat usse tumse milaane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai”.
