Let’s see this, when I was at college to look fashionable where do I turn to rather than Pantaloons, When I was in final year just before placements, I did what everyone does go to a Veusen buy a pair of formals. My father is obsessed with Louie Phillipe, our apartment had UltraTech cement used for construction, products like aluminium, copper, VSF, etc touches our lives in some way or the other every day. I can say when I was college it gave me confidence with fashionable causal wear and helped me be confident while I was going for my placements by which I can say confidently there’s positive impact of ABG, every day in my life.
Aditya Birla is also known for the trust that has with its huge customer base. Which is evident form the facts that Pantaloons has be judged as the most trustable fashion retailer in the brand Equity survey by Economic Times in 2016-17.
There’s is no doubt that AB Group has a huge role in every one’s life including mine. I feel AB has a bigger role to play by providing opportunities to enthusiastic people which has presence in wide range of domains. ABG could be one of the very few organisations offering such brilliant opportunities.
How I overcame my challenges.
Strolling in the basketball ground of the IIM Nagpur campus a couple of day ago, I realized how happy I am, and my parents are right now. This realization also brought me a few memories of what I had been through to be here.
After college with a passion to be an entrepreneur despite working in a corporate company, I have worked a lot towards my goal with different ideas only to face shutting doors in every possible way. After many similar attempts and failed business models, I thought a lot about what went wrong and realized that the knowledge of understanding different aspects of businesses is what that is most important to be a successful entrepreneur and way to go about is none other than getting into a premier B schools like IIMs. I started preparing for cat 2018 while continuing in my job only to realized it was extremely hard to manage attending classes, to prepare and to manage office every single day. I somehow got used to it and my preparation was going smooth with little hiccups here and there.
2 months before the exam while I was in a class, I received a call from my mother, who generally doesn’t disturb me when I am in my coaching classes as she is well aware of my schedule ,so I cut the call but she kept calling again and again. I felt something was wrong and picked the phone to hear her crying and tensed that my father is admitted in a local hospital and he needs to undergo bypass surgery as soon as possible. I rushed to hometown immediately and came back to Hyderabad along with my parents to admit him in the hospital. I was so worried, tensed and distorted about the situation that I wanted to quit the preparation, exam and take care of my dad. I told the same to mother, being very strong she inspired me not to give up saying that everything will go well, and I should also not stop doing whatever I started with so much determination. I dint quit, I studied whenever possible in hospital while taking of my dad after the surgery when he was under observation. I stayed with my parents taking care of my father and studying for the next one month during his recovery eventually he did successfully in a month. I took the exam; here I am in Nagpur writing this. The biggest smile came on my parent’s face after the result not me. I you feel like you are going through hell keep going be patient and determined success follows you.
