Shoes maybe the best accessory that were ever created, instantly spicing up an outfit, adding that missing glitter to one’s life. I have always dreamed of dancing, but alas I was born with 2 left feet. But the moment I put on those beautiful sandals from Allen Solly, I felt as though I could achieve anything that my heart desired. I recall clicking my heels as a sprung out of the store, towards a better day, a better life and a better future.
Ever been irritated by people crying about the minor inconveniences that they may be experiencing in their life? If you haven’t, you must be a saint. November, which is just 4 months away, is the National Diabetics month. Diabetes is a job one can never quit. Imagine getting drained both emotionally and physically with this incurable, invisible disease, while the others tell you that ‘There is a bright light at the end of this tunnel’.
I have been a part of the diabetic community for over 19 years now. You may have seen kids running around the park with cones of ice cream in their hands, at this moment, 5-year-old me would have probably been in a room getting an insulin shot because I ate too much. But that’s in the past, with age comes tenacity. I have come to the realization that complaining about things you can’t control is draining. Set to prove that I am above a minor illness, I decided to challenge myself, taking about BDS as my graduation. Because of the itch to do the next big thing, I decided to pursue MBA, where life is nothing but a race against a time and you wish that the days were just a little bit longer, because every second counts.
In order to rule the world, you should know what goes on in the world. We all have issues, some big some not so big, dwelling in these is what holds one back. Pursing success is like chasing a rainbow, the faster you are, the farther it gets from you. The key is to be patient and gain as much knowledge as you can along the journey; to not take failures and insults personally, but instead as guiding stones to success. Success is jumping from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm, its not in what you do or do not have but in what you are, so be the best version of yourself.
