Step 1 - Shortlisting Candidates Based Solely On CAT 2022 Performance
The table below indicates the minimum performance expected from candidates to be shortlisted for the PI. "Please note that achieving the cut-off percentile in CAT is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being shortlisted. The participating IIMs reserve the right to have a higher cut-off than those mentioned above." This implies that candidates will most likely be required to score higher than the cut-offs set in order to be shortlisted for the personal interview round.
It's important to note that, in 2021, IIM Kashipur's overall CAT 2021 cut-off was lowered from the 93rd percentile initially to 92 percentile at a later stage of the admissions season. The cut-offs are subject to change, and candidates would be wise to keep checking this space for updates.
Step 2 - Creating Final Merit List Based On Composite Score
Applicants shortlisted in step one will be invited for the personal interview round, which will be conducted as a part of the Common Admission Process (CAP).
To create the final merit list, IIM Kashipur's final composite score for a candidate = Personal Interview score (2a) + Profile score (2b). This score will be used to rank students according to their merit.
While calculating the composite score, 25% of the weight has been assigned to a candidate's personal interview performance.
While calculating the composite score, IIM Kashipur has assigned a 33% weight to CAT 2021 scores, 5% weight each to 10th, 12th, Graduation marks, 5% weight for any professional qualifications, 12% weight for work experience, 6% weight for gender diversity, and 4% weight for academic diversity.
