Meet Dr. Soumya Guha Deb - Professor at IIM Sambalpur, InsideIIM Professor of The Year In 2020
Professor Soumya G Deb has done his PhD (FPM) from IIM-Calcutta. He also did his PGDBM from IIM-Calcutta and Engineering from Jadavpur University, Calcutta.
He spent his time in the industry for almost a decade before coming to academics. He teaches Finance at IIM Sambalpur. Prior to joining IIM Sambalpur as an Associate Professor, he was a full-time finance faculty at Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB) from 2007-2018.
He is also a dedicated researcher and has published work in many national and international journals. He generally likes to research in the areas of Mutual funds, Corporate Finance, Investments and Portfolio Management, Asset Pricing, Causality and Volatility in Financial markets, etc.
