challenge 1:
I had moved to Kota after high school to prepare for college entrance examinations. I had taken this decision primarily because my close friend was also moving there with me for the preparation. However, after a month my friend decided to move back to our hometown.
Now I had two choices. Either to move back with him, or stay and persevere alone. It was an emotionally challenging day for me. I chose to stay and stick to my choice. I decided that from now on, I would steer my life according to my choices, and not joining the bandwagon.
challenge 2:
During one of my projects, I was assigned to a new work site along with few other colleagues. Couple of weeks into the project, I noticed minimal interaction between the team members and falling motivation levels.
So, I decided to organize a Games competition, wherein my colleagues can form teams and play with each other. One of my team members also liked my idea and agreed to help. We organized Table Tennis, Carrom, and Cricket matches over the weekend. Many of our colleagues participated, and thereafter we organized many other events such as quiz, and quality and safety week.
challenge 3:
During a project with a very aggressive timeline, we needed to finish the concreting work of a site. However, the site was premature and not set well enough to start with the concreting. I highlighted the issue to my manager, and asked him to push the deadline by a day. Initially, he was reluctant to comply and wanted to stick to the plan. I highlighted the possible repercussions and suggested an extra shift over the weekend to compensate for the work loss. After a lot of discussion, he finally agreed to push the deadline and follow the protocol.
