Kellogg School of Management - Consulting, Finance Top Paying Roles For MBA Grads
Consulting pays the highest median base salary in 2019, which is followed by Finance/Accounting. Consulting remains the top paying functional domain across the 5 years, making up for more than a third of the class hires across all 5 years.
Marketing/Sales emerges as the second most popular functional domain. Finance and Marketing, along with Consulting, make up for over half the class hires. In 2015, these three functional domains made up for almost 3/4th of the class hires.
It is noteworthy that the lowest median base salary appearing in this table is from Marketing/Sales at $105,000 in the year 2015. That same year, Marketing made up for a fifth of the class hires.

The 3 top industries at Kellogg don’t just pay the highest salaries, but also make up for over half of the hires. In the year 2016, Consumer Packaged Goods hired more students than Financial Services, making it to the top 3 position. This is the only year where Financial Services wasn't in the top 3.
The lowest noted median base salary across the 5 years (even counting functional domains) lies with Non-Profit at $87,500 in the year 2019. This is the only salary statistic available for Non-Profit. The only other time the median base salary has dropped below $100,000 was in 2015, for Real Estate.
