My work stint gave me the opportunity to live in different parts of the country. Vodafone was my saviour to my homesickness. Wherever I was posted, the network coverage of Vodafone is commendable. The speed of the internet was on point while working from home and completing left over work.
Casual Fridays at work wouldn’t have been so bright without Allen Solly. I have been a fan of the collections offered by Allen Solly which looked so simple but elegant. The in house brands of ABG like van heusen, Louis Philippe were the go to brands for formal attire. Pantaloons, the fashion outlet of ABG, established in every major cities offered great collections of clothing at reasonable cost. Peter England, another in-house brand of ABG, came to the rescue to complete my business formals requirement for my MBA induction program.
PART 2
The life of a central government employee is never constant. Being a part of a one such family, we never had one single home. The constant transfer from home to home, state to state, was a door to different cultures but there were a ton of challenges along with it. I had to change schools and make new friends, live new life.
Moving around across cities were difficult, being the new person in school is never easy. The cultural difference, language barriers and initial struggle to make friends has always been difficult. When I moved from Kerala to Mumbai, I was the new Malayali in school. The inability to converse in Hindi, put a fear in me to step out of my house. My first year in my new school was very monotonous and not exciting. I realised that it was high time I got out of my shell, I slowly began interacting with every person I met in school, in my building and on the road. Gradually my broken Hindi began fixing itself, made great friends and even better memories in school. The initiative I took in school helped me mould my character and interact with people from diverse background. I was eventually elected as the sports captain in school and completed my schooling without any regrets.
The outgoing nature I developed in school helped me become more outgoing and an extrovert. The idea of moving around never scared me since then. I never shied away from making new friends and never stepped back from taking up new challenges.
