Associate Director of the Master in Business Analytics and Big Data
Leading companies are scrambling to understand how to use Big Data and analytics to transform the foundations of their businesses and uncover new sources of value in their industries. During this session on Big Data, Mr. Marcos RamÃrez (Master in Management '13), Associate Director of Master in Business Analytics and Big Data, will cover the basics of what Big Data means, what data scientists do, and how big data and analytics can help companies to better innovate and improve their inclusion efforts. Also, we will talk about the different areas we put special emphasis on during our master program in order train the future generation of data-driven and innovation-oriented professionals so they can pursue a successful career in Business Analytics and Big Data.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Marcos RamÃrez is passionate about, innovation, technology and Big Data. He is an Industrial Engineer by Tecnologico de Monterrey, and holds a MIM from IE. He has worked in the energy sector as project controller for oil & gas, telecom, and electrical projects. He is a certified consultant in the financial module by SAP and Associate Project Manager by PMI. Currently he is Associate Director of the Master in Business Analytics and Big Data at IE.
