Some 4,000 years ago, Babylonians, ancient Akkadian-speaking Semitic community. celebrated their new year with an 11-day festival in March, It was the Babylonians who initiated the trend, who reportedly made promises to the gods in hopes they'd earn good favour in the coming year. They made promises to their gods at the start of each year that they would return borrowed objects and pay their debts.
What we continue to do today is also something similar, striving to be better by making some resolutions.
Some of the most common resolutions we take:
Lose Weight, being Fit and Healthy
Getting Organized
Spend Less, Save More
Enjoy Life to the Fullest
Learn Something Exciting
Quit Smoking
Spend More Time with Family
I am sure most of you all would have taken some resolutions in the past year and will continue to do in the year to come. So let us end the year on a happier note, Please share the New year resolutions you had taken in 2015 in the Comments section below, even if they are weird and crazy, like the one below
“When I hear a joke I will not reply, "LOL... LOL!”
So share your past resolutions (the crazier the resolution, the better), and make some more resolutions before the clock ticks....
A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!
