BITSoM’s aim is to build a diverse class with equal representation of engineers and non-engineer students. BITSoM encourages candidates from various backgrounds including humanities, law, pharma, fashion, hospitality and others to apply because peer learning is an important component of the BITSoM MBA experience.
Students with low CAT score can make it to BITSoM provided they have exceptional extra-curricular or co-curricular achievements. However, if candidates want to better their aptitude test score, they can take the GMAT or GRE test and submit the score by May 2, 2021.
Q: What is the shortlisting and selection procedure at BITSoM?
To apply to BITSoM MBA program, candidates should have a recognized undergraduate or postgraduate degree with a CAT 2020/GMAT/GRE test score. The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their overall profile. Each section in the application form has a weightage and an overall composite application score consists of a combination of academics, extra-curricular, co-curricular achievements, personality traits, and work experience, if applicable. Once shortlisted, the candidate needs to appear for a personal interview before the admission offer is made.

Q: What is the number of intake of students for the MBA program 2021-23 and what degree will they be offered?
BITSoM is looking at an intake of 120 students in the founding class. Graduating students will be awarded a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree by BITS Pilani.
Q: What is the fee structure of an MBA residential program at BITSoM?
The fee structure for the two-year MBA program for 2021-23 is Rs.24.5 Lacs which includes tuition fee, and accommodation fees. The program offers a great value of money given the majority of the courses will be delivered by top-notch global faculty.
Q: Can students avail scholarships while applying for the BITSoM program?
Yes, candidates can apply for scholarships. BITSoM offers three types of scholarships: merit scholarships, merit-cum-need scholarships, and scholarship to women candidates. The school has earmarked Rs.2 crore to be awarded as scholarships to deserving candidates in the first year.
