how you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far.
I come from a close-knit Maharashtrian family. I have completed my schooling in Subhedar wada highschool . Then went on to complete diploma from NES polytechnic. Everything was rosy till I moved to Pune for my undergraduate studies. Things changed, people changed, I moved away from my family. Life took a detour when I started to discover myself as well as my blindspots. It was only then that I realised that I had my share of them and it was time I start working on them. With academics I started to participate in various college activities, presentations, projects and made lifelong friends whom I cherish. It was in my UG that I decided to work on my rough edges and communication. I really worked hard and my friends assistance proved monumental. It was in my UG itself that I decided that I will pursue MBA from a reputed college.
After my UG, I started to give full time to my MBA entrance exam preparations. I worked quite hard but much to my dismay, I could not crack it. I decided to give it another shot, again I failed to score the top-notch marks but got shortlisted in a prestigious college but could not get through the interview round, I was shattered. I must describe myself as a calm and imperturbable person but I had to admit that I had never dealt with such a failure and disappointment in my life. paralelly I started investing money in stock market. I was also looking for a job, after a while I got an opportunity at TATA Asset management company and I cracked the interview. After the training, much to my pleasant surprise, I was absorbed in the the Institutional Sales vertical which I soon realised was a blessing. I took to sales as duck to water, soon I was meeting succesful and industrious industry people which broadened my horizons about the job as well as life. I understood a golden rule about sales, it's not just about the pitch (spiel), its about being present at the right time with the right information. I was ecstatic at work, again made some great friends and learned tremendously. Alongside, Job and stock market, I gathered courage and decided again to appear for MBA exams as I was more hungry for knowledge and betterment. Also, I thought that with this experience my MBA decision made more sense. I appeared for CMAT 2019 and managed to score good percentile, got shortlisted for an interview and converted the college. It was the same college that I got rejected from, GIM, Goa. I was elated and I learnt a life lesson, that you dont recognize good times if you dont have bad ones. Thank you for the oppotunity. Ever hungry and ever happy.
