The Common Management Admission Test, abbreviated as CMAT, is a 3 hour long, computer based national level entrance test to enable admissions to management programmes across India. CMAT 2021 exam will be conducted in the last week of January. The CMAT exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) since 2019, although, until 2018 it was conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

CMAT 2020 was conducted on 28th January 2020 in 104 cities out of 109 proposed cities (capacity - 1,81,145 candidates) & was taken by 74,486 candidates.

CMAT 2021 Syllabus And Exam Pattern
The CMAT test is divided into four parts with each section carrying 25 questions with each question carrying 1 mark:
- Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
- Logical Reasoning
- Language Comprehension
- General Awareness
CMAT Exam 2021 Eligibility Criteria
CMAT Academic Criteria 2021:
- Graduates in any discipline can apply for the CMAT 2021 exam.
- Students who are in the final year of their graduate courses, can also apply for the CMAT 2021 as long as the result of their graduate exam is declared before the start of admission process.
Nationality and Age Criteria:
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- There is no age restriction to apply for CMAT exam
CMAT Exam Fee
The fee can be paid online using a debit/credit card, net banking, Unified Payment Interface (UPI) and PayTM Service in ICICI Bank or HDFC Bank or Syndicate Bank or State Bank of India.

CMAT Exam Reservation Policy
Private participating institutes that accept CMAT 2020 scores have different reservation policies. However, the reservation policy for Central Government run institutes is mentioned below:

Note-
- 5% of each category is reserved for persons with disabilities.
- Any candidate who doesn’t fall under the OBC-NCL list by Central Government (http://www.ncbc.nic.in/) will fall under the General category.
- Categories of disabilities (Applicable if disability is more than 40%) are as follows :
- Deaf and hard of hearing
- Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness
- Blindness and low vision
- Locomotor disabilities like cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, cured leprosy, dwarfism, and victims of acid attacks.
- Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (i) to (iv).
Previous Years' CMAT Exam Analysis
CMAT Exam Analysis 2019
The first slot of CMAT 2019 exam was of moderate difficulty. The verbal section was tough and the data Interpretation section was tricky. The second slot of the exam was also of moderate difficulty with tricky logical reasoning and tough verbal questions.
CMAT Exam Analysis 2018
In the CMAT 2018, the quantitative techniques and data interpretation section was moderate to difficult. Logical reasoning section mostly had easy to moderate questions and a few tricky questions. Language comprehension section was easy to moderate with more vocabulary related questions. The general awareness section had questions from current affairs, static GK and other conventional topics.
CMAT Exam Analysis 2017
The CMAT 2017 was conducted in a single slot for all MBA aspirants. The difficulty level of the paper was moderate with only few difficult questions ranging the 4 sections. But overall the general awareness section was a big challenge to the students.
CMAT Exam Analysis 2016
CMAT 2016 was also conducted in a single slot for all MBA aspirants. Overall, the test was of a moderate difficulty, but marginally tougher than the previous years (2015). The logical reasoning section had a number of easy questions. The Quantitative Ability section had a few difficult questions, but most of them were easy. The English section contained 5-6 difficult questions. The GK section, was the most challenging.
