Overcoming Challenges for Turning Dream into Reality.
Every single person in his/her life came across challenges which need to overcome to be able to achieve his/her ambitions. I’m also one of them. During my life, I have encountered various challenges, but the most critical was the one which I had faced in the previous year. Last year in June, I had resigned from my job for preparing B-School exams. While serving a notice period, I had received a call from my brother’s hostel that he is unwell. After visiting him, I was shocked to see him, as he wasn’t able to move his legs. After the MRI and other preliminary tests, he was diagnosed with Myelopathy (Spinal Cord TB). There were many questions which were popping into my brain. Should I take my resignation back to be able to support family expenses or should I remain with my family in this hour of need as my native was Nagpur and I was working in Mumbai? And also, whether should I hold the plan of MBA. At that instant, it was too much for me to process. After giving a lot of thought, I chose to stay with my parents. The last year was full of challenges, both physically and mentally. As I had to attend to the daily needs of my brother along with that has to focus on my studies. It was challenging to be able to cope up and thrive in academics, and also there was not much of an option for me to take another year for clearing CAT and other exams. After a year of hard work, determination, and dedication, converting IIM Visakhapatnam was like a trophy for me. The experiences which I have gained in this journey have transformed me wholly.
