In fact, it marked the best parts of my life with its presence. Its cellular network, Vodafone marked my first experience of having a mobile. Being deprived of the mobile usage due to the hostel restrictions of my institute, its first arrival in my life is marked as a great surprise from my family and I finally had my first own mobile number from Vodafone. Every journey of it including the merging process of Vodafone to become Vodafone Idea taught me to be strong through all the decisions of my life.
My big challenge:
Before the beginning of my great journey at IIM Visakhapatnam, when I was in my 2ndyear of under-graduation, I am selected as University Innovation Fellow (UIF)by Stanford University. It gave me a great exposure with multiple students from almost 7 countries and marked itself as a beautiful journey of my life during my graduation. Similar to every achievement of anyone’s life, it did not come easily. As part of the selection process, I was given many assignments with deadlines which involves lot of surveys and issues concerned towards students of our college. Being first time to handle such activities, it became a big challenge for me. And this is expected to be completed by a group of four UIFs of our institute who constitutes a leadership circle. It became difficult for us to conduct these surveys individually for every student since there were only four of us and it became difficult to handle these assignments along with academics.
We overcame this through the formation of E-Club in which we selected the interested students who would form into multiple groups and themselves represent a leadership circle. As it would give them a glimpse of learning experience along with leadership opportunities, it became an advantage for them too. And we completed the surveys with almost every student of all departments. This made me learn that the leadership doesn’t always mean that it is the leader’s sole responsibility towards work by reaching out to everyone, it means getting the things done by others and at the same time he/she should accept and act upon their responsibility of the work.
