Integrity, commitment, passion, seamlessness and speed are the values of Aditya Birla Group and they are achieving great heights in all of these. Managed by a force of 1.2 million employees and operating in 42 different countries they always justify their mission of serving superior value to the customers, employees and society as a whole and proved themselves once again by transforming various underprivileged communities which also stood as the highlight of CSR live week held in Mumbai on May 22nd and 23rd.
Aditya Birla group with its variety of services has always been a major part of everyone’s day to day lives and was a boon for me as well. Residing in the rural part and also due to the unavailability of proper schooling there, I was admitted in a school which was approximately 25 kms away from my hometown and I used to leave for school at around 5:30 in the morning which means I needed to get my lunch packed before that and this is when freshwrapp became my savior. It indeed delivered its purpose and also served value for money. Also, the travelling was the part of my life where I invested major fraction of my day during my school. Availability of good roads was the main factor which determined my time invested in travelling which was majorly suffered during the monsoon season. It further used to affect the availability of my time for studies. Me and my brother sometimes used to wait for hours to reach at home just because of the unavailability of transport due to lack of proper roads. Yet again, Ultra Tech turned out to be a savior. Since the day of good constructed roads, I saved a major portion of my day. Thus, by providing variety of services Aditya Birla Group as a whole, plays a big role in my life.
How did I overcome challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far?
The quality of education plays a very vital role in our lives and thus my parents also wanted to provide me with the best of it. My ambition was to excel in studies, but the whole process of proper education turned out to be a challenge. The challenge started when I was in 7th standard. The distance between school and my hometown is one such part of the challenge due to which I used to come late from school to home and was left with no option than to complete my homework and study late at night and that is when “Unavailability of electricity” came under limelight. Electricity was such a dominating factor because the duration of light was only for a couple of hours in a day, that too in breaks and uncertain as well. In order to be on time with my assignments and to be well prepared for my class the next day I used to study with the help of candles the entire night. Since I did not believe in the notion of taking leave so to be present on the next day of school, I used to wake up again before 5 AM to be on time. But sleep deprivation started taking a toll on me and further affected my efficiency in the classroom. As mentioned earlier, a major portion of my day revolved around travelling thus I did not get any time to rest in between as well. I started struggling with the situation and faced it for around 1 year. I started making myself vulnerable to anxiety and stress which hampered my studies and then my results. Since I was focused to academics a lot thus this downfall in my grades further added wood to the fire. It is when I took it as a challenge and decided to overcome it and I invested myself in time management. I started completing major parts of my homework during free lectures and started reading in the buses and rickshaws on my way back home which helped me a lot as I was left with comparatively less work at home. It was very tough in the beginning because it is not regular that you get a seat in public transport. But as the time passed, I started managing the schedule properly. Which further helped me to be part of extracurricular activities as well. Not only in academics but I started developing whole as a person. This also helped me in imbibing the quality of proper time management in me since that day and helped me in achieving my ambitions so far.
