It’s so fascinating that Aditya Birla Group has an inherent presence in every part of my life even without me realizing. So right from manufacturing carbon black ink worldwide which provides safer tires to providing insurance, mutual funds and real estate investments, Aditya Birla Group does it all.
How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
I’m instinctively a shy and self-conscious person. I remember when I was in IX standard I read “Jeet Aapki” by Shiv Kheda. It left an impactful impression on me. I introspected and realized it’s our attitude towards people, things and circumstances which makes us different. It changed my perception of things for better but still there were many mountains to be summited.
In my case it literally was the case. I did my college from Tehri, a village in Uttarakhand. It was a hilly area isolated from city with not much transportation or facilities to avail. It taught me a lot of things as in how to adapt oneself to different culture and conditions. Also I realized the importance of apt exposure which I was earlier neglectful about.
I moved to Bengaluru for job as a software engineer but I knew I had to pursue business management. Handling work along with studies was tough more so because it was a high-involvement project with strict deadlines. Many a times we had to work on weekends and this gave me a practical demo on stress management which I personally believe curriculum cannot mimic. I was fortunate enough to avail an opportunity where I had to handle my team in absence of team-lead. I was about the same age as of the team-members and again my shyness, consciousness crept in. It took a lot of effort for me to come out of that cocoon that was self-built and illusive. I have always been sincere in my efforts and it did pay well. We received multiple appreciatory mail from client for handling critical situation well which was quite unusual but very encouraging at the same time. Along with all this my preparation was in full sway, though mostly filled with self-doubt. I planned my routines, stayed focused and enjoyed my preparation. Not only did I convert premier B-schools of India but I feel this process helped me grow as an individual. Still I have a lot to improve, a lot to conquer but I believe that's a good thing as stagnation is what I fear the most. Ambitions, I believe are dynamic and would change in due course of life but attitude is what remains constant. #NMIMSMumbai #ABGLPWooMeSeason2

Introspective, genuine and hard working. I am an avid reader and more than half of my personality is the byproduct of reading (that's what I would like to believe)
Thank You!
