After my 12th class, I moved from Punjab to Delhi for graduation. So, it was completely a very new environment for me where people were very fluent while talking. Initially I faced a lot of problems while communicating in English. I used to fumble a lot and was not confident of what I am saying. It was kind of a low point of time for me in my under grad. But with the time, to overcome this problem I started reading different stuff in English language whether it be newspaper or different magazines. I also started communicating in English with my friends which helped me to gain confidence as I had nothing to worry about when I was talking to them. With this I was able to improve myself and convey my ideas properly. Then I slowly started communicating to my seniors in college and after that I started participating College debate competitions which boosted my confidence which made me realize that it does not matter how much difficult a task it is, it does not matter whether we have done that task earlier or not. Only thing that matters is our will power and determination. We can overcome any hurdle if there is a will. Will complemented by hard work can take you to another heights. Also, this helped me in learning one of the major life lesson of my life – The importance of communication skills. That how communication skills can shape your personality and your career. So, stay motivated and optimistic to get to that level where you want to be.
