The commendable journey that Aditya Birla group has gone through, has not only inspired me but is a major reason that I achieved what I aspired for.
Post my graduation, I had figured out that I want to pursue a management degree in HR. I took my first attempt at CAT in 2015 and faced rejection. Feeling dejected, I had multiple things on my mind.
Should I take up the placement offer I recently got? Would I ever be able to pursue a career in my chosen stream at all? And many more.
I knew I would not be able to sail through at a job I didn’t want to do but the lack of any other choice at the time pushed me towards it. However, a few days later, while looking for other job opportunities, I came across a job in the Aditya Birla Group. I had a habit of researching about the company well before I filled the application form and while doing the same, I came across an article elaborating on the journey of the company’s success.
The way Kumar Mangalam Birla at that young age had the acumen to perfectly carve out a strategy and showed the courage to follow it, inspired me to not give up on my aspirations and follow my passion howsoever difficult it maybe.
I started searching for a job in people management which was quite a tough task since mostly all the jobs required a degree in HR. It took me 4 months of patience and persistence to find an opening in AON in Compensation and Benefits consulting. Due to my lack of experience in job interviews, I had to face a rejection post stretching till the final round of selection. However, this time, I did not take a step back and managed to finally find a job in the topmost HR Consulting firm, Mercer.
Post joining, I understood that a year of experience would not be enough for me to build a significant knowledge in such a diverse field. My primary motive was to learn as much as I can while making an impact through my work.
I worked there for three years and pursuing a formal education in HR today, in one of the prestigious B Schools of India, IIM Ranchi, I would really like to thank the Aditya Birla Group for inspiring me and many more youngsters, be it through any of their products or through their ideologies and success story.

I am a highly enthusiastic person and always ready for new challenges. For me, agility is the prime concern. Having a technical background in the field of mechanical engineering from NIT Agartala, I worked for Tata Motors for 46 months. There I was involved in the area of Operation and planning and this was the remarkable experience for me. Currently, I am pursuing MBA in HR from IIM Ranchi. My area of interest is not limited actually it's a little bit wider I have an interest in consulting, Analytics, Performance management, Industrial relation and more on the list. Traveling is the thing which is inseparable to me. This is my super hobby. Interacting with the new person and making networking, I do like.so, in short, I am an Icebreaker.
Amazingly crafted
