“A journey like no other”

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step: a phrase that aptly describes the journey of Aditya Birla Group. The foundation of 162 years old business conglomerate commenced from cotton trading operations in Rajasthan and now is reaching out to millions globally.

I will start with something that gives me immense happiness – shopping. Quite surprising to know that all my shopping stuff revolves around the brands that come under Aditya Birla Group. From Van Heusen to Pantaloons, People to Forever 21 and Allen Solly to American Eagle changed my fashion statement. Not only me, but my brother is also a big fan of Peter England and Louis Phillipe. Well ABGLP follows its brands too seriously - The way forward: Evolve every day (Van Heusen). It has flourished in our country by delivering products in almost all aspects of life.

Fabrics never felt so fluid (Liva) until Grasim industries entered. ABGLP owns Birla Cellulose brand that is the world’s largest producer of viscose staple fibre. ABGLP had taken care of our smiles (Freshwrapp) by keeping our food warm with Superwrap – a product that my mother trusts. ABGLP has protected my family by giving a strong foundation to my home with India’s number one cement - UltraTech cement. UltraTech made us realize that you can change everything in your home but not your cement (#ChanceNaLoUltraTechLo). Hindalco valued choices of engineers of our country with its exceptional quality and design of Eternia aluminium windows and Everlast roofing.

Aditya Birla Group forms an important part of my childhood memories. The network that helped me in connecting with my friends even from the school days was idea cellular. An Idea that change our lives now has come together with Vodafone to create India’s number one telecom company.

One thing that certainly touched my life and the lives of millions of people is ABGLP contributing to the social and economic development of society. They are truly “making a difference” because “they care”.

Part B - How I overcome challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far?

“The way forward”

Post schooling, I decided to pursue my career in Computer Engineering. The engineering journey was filled with peaks and valleys. But commitment, motivation and optimism helped me in being the awardee of Vice-Chancellor’s Gold medal for being the best graduating student of Computer Engineering in my batch. Also, to work for society, I joined an NGO that aimed at educating underprivileged children. One of the challenges there was to convince the parents of the girls to send them to school. The task was difficult as parents involved their daughters in household chores and earning money, which is way more important than studying for them. Continuous efforts and not giving up improved the condition.

Certainly, Aditya Birla Group is inspiring me and billions of people to dream bigger and do bigger and make your “journey like no other”.
