I'm Aditya Sethia and I was pursuing science in my 12th standard (HSC), and preparing diligently for the IIT – JEE mains exam when my family was hit with a financial crisis, my father had just quit his job to pursue his passion for doing business and the financial situation in our home was very tough in the initial stages of setting up the business, I remember that we had to sell our car just to fund the business, it was a difficult time in my life and my family’s life as well. But that is when I decided that giving up hope is the worst possible solution to the problem at hand and something has to be done. So I ditched the idea of being a full-time engineer and decided to pursue commerce so that I have time to work with my father in the business and also at the same time become academically prepared to handle the business efficiently in the future, I managed to get a rank of 33 in my state in the common entrance exam for the B.COM Honours course and secured an admission in the best institute for the course (Bhavans Vivekananda College) with a nominal fee, then my father and I worked hard to get suppliers, convince clients, produce their order and get it to them, and I also worked had a hard time academically due to the lack of time for studying. It’s been more than 3 years since the inception of our business, and now we are a successful packaging firm with significant goodwill and a lot of growth prospects, I have joined my dream MBA college and I’m proud of where we are today considering where we were 3 years ago. The biggest lesson this has taught me is that keeping your hope alive in the darkest of times is always the best solution to the problem.
