As I begin my B-School journey, I take up yet another challenge to realize my ambitions. The cost of quality education in the country is out of financial reach for majority of the middle class in India. For me the ultimate dream was to pursue MBA from a top tier B School.
For my under graduation, I wanted to be a top level coder. So my engineering degree was in itself a hefty financial burden for my family. But it was my initiative to take a bank loan in my name and pursue the degree, secure a top notch job and then repay the loan all in my capacity. It took me 3 years, to repay that loan. While I was working shifts that were much beyond regular office hours, I had to secure a fast track promotion and prepare for MBA Entrance examinations and also more than half of what I was earning was going into repay that loan.
It was a battle of mind and body, mental perseverance and physical grit that got me through that two year phase, wherein there were multiple personal battles that were also being fought. But the professional in me, kept the deliverable perfect and punctual. It was this constant perseverance that got me into the limelight. Major breakthroughs were made that drew huge appreciation from the client side. I had made the fast track promotion, then came the latter part of the battle, to work and deliver at inhuman hours, and then return home and prepare for an examination that is a nation-wide competition. Again it was proper management of time and the ability to that extra step that helped me realize my dreams.
Today while I pen down this article, I am a proud winner at workplace, home and most importantly to myself, as the challenges I laid down for myself, have been achieved, and the ones that lie ahead, shall be overcome.

Aditya Birla - Touching Lives - 'Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life'
For each and every one of us in India, ‘Aditya Birla’ is a very household name. Be it because of the spectrum of products that they house under their umbrella, or be it for the reputation it holds for being one of the world’s biggest conglomerates.
Personally speaking, the way in which Aditya Birla has touched our lives, is immense. Each and every day we see so many objects which might otherwise seem unsuspecting, are the proud ambassadors of the factories under the umbrella of Aditya Birla. The home I live in, has been built by renowned brand of cement, Ultra Tech. Build Beautiful is what they used to endorse, and it is pretty beautiful I must say.
When I was handed my first cell phone, I had a prepaid number which used to be topped up with scratch cards – which belonged to the company who had coined the campaign “What an Idea, Sirjee!” The campaign had revolutionized the mobile connection industry. Of course, once must also recollect the million times I must have joked with my friends to respond to their “I have no idea” phrases with the “Get IDEA!” phrase.
When I graduated from was preparing for my first formal occasion, as I was moving into college, I got my first formal shirt, a light lime green Peter England shirt. And ever since I have shuffled between Peter England and Louis Philippe, Van Heusen and the like. The big fashion capital housed under Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail. And like wise, there have been many such brands, such as SKULT and Forever 21 that have recently come up that you can find in the wardrobes of our generation.
For a conglomerate of such magnitude housing such a vast array of products and brands it is improbable that they have not touched the lives of individuals in this country. And likewise so have I been vastly impacted by the products and brands alike during the course of my life.
