Overcoming Challenges For Ambitions
Everyone faces challenges in their lives. But overcoming these challenges is what life is all about. I was into studies from the beginning. And I went to a school in my local town Rawatsar, Rajasthan. I did not get any opportunities to undertake any extra curricular activity. I told my parents a lot of times to put me in hostel, because my sister was put into hostel in class 4th. When I finally went to hostel in class 9th, I was not able to settle in there. The syllabus also changed drastically from State Board to CBSE. I find it very difficult to capture with that system and somehow, I managed. As I was settling in, my grandmother passed away and my exams were just 2 weeks later. It was a very tough time for me. I focussed on my studies, talked to my friends and it helped me a lot to not thinking about home. As a result, I got good grades in class 9th and went on to achieve 10 CGPA in class 10th.
While pursuing B. Com, I decided to give CAT exam. Coming from commerce background without having maths, it was very difficult for me to manage both the college studies and CAT preparation. But I just kept going and everything fell into place. I practiced daily, gave mocks, analysed them, and revised the topics in which I was not comfortable. It bore fruit for me and I was able to get good percentile and ultimately got admission into IIM Trichy for pursuing my MBA.
