With the companies like Hindalco, Novelis and Birla Copper, ABG is leading name in non-ferrous metals business. They have 50 manufacturing units across 11 countries with 37000 employees. They are the world largest recycler of Aluminium and have world largest single location copper smelter.

ABG is also a leading name in Chemical and Mining Industries. They are the largest producer of Sodium and Potassium phosphates, sulphites and bi-sulphites. With the brand Birla Shaktimaan, they are largest producer of Urea, Neem-coated urea, fertilisers, soil and plant health product. ABG is also a largest contractual coal mining company.

Managing Failure

The biggest challenge for me in my life was to learn to manage failure. In this ultra-competitive world, in every competition there in only one winner and the rest loose. It is very important for everyone to manage their success as well as their failure. I think managing success is somewhat easy than to managing failure. One can manage its success by being humble, but managing failure is where the problem starts.

When someone puts lots of hard work, time and energy to achieve something, but thing doesn’t goes what one expect and fail to achieve the desired result again and again, then person starts to self doubt his own ability, loss his self-confidence then gradually starts to frustrate, get into depression and anxiety. This is what I have gone through when I have put mine effort, time, energy and hard work to achieve something. In those days, I used to think that I have been trapped in the perpetual cycle of failure.

It took me sometime to learn and to manage my failure and to get out of this cycle. The thing that I learn that failure is never an END. There are many people in this world who are struggling for minimum and I am way ahead in my life. Always dream big, never dream small. There is nothing like absolute success, it is relative and the only person who can achieve your goals is you and yourself. Perseverance and hard work is only key to success and whenever there is opportunity comes in your way, never miss it, grab it with the both hands that’s why now I am here at IIM Vizag. In the whole journey, the people whom I admired the most is Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, although both of them are now not in this world, but there words always helped me to come out of my bad time.
