Aditya Birla group has been a part of my life in many ways throughout my life. Personally, the fashion brand that has left the biggest impact on me is Van Heusen. The brand truly offers apparel that caters to every fashion occasion of a young professional’s life, be it formal, casual or Party wear. When it comes to apparel, I do not have to deliberate about which brand to go for as Van Heusen has always left me satisfied, happy and made me feel confident. Also, I have been a loyal customer of Idea Vodafone ltd formerly known as Idea cellular ltd till today which is a subsdiary of Aditya Birla Group.
All in all, I am extremely thankful to this company that has been a very major part of my life, both on a personal and professional front.
Talking about one of the challenges that I overcame to achieve my ambition in life. Getting an MBA degree in one of the top colleges was always in my Mind. After graduating I started my preparation for the CAT exam. As I was preparing for it, I got shortlisted for the interview round for the company "Goa state Infrastructure development corporation limited" that had come for campus recruitment, subsequently after going through the process I got the offer letter to join the Company. Since it was a Government corporation I made up mind to accept the offer and join the company so that I will get a substantial work experience that will add to my CV for the future during the interview round for the B-school. I started liking the work profile as I was given a post of Assistant Manager and I was looking for a managerial position, so I went on to work for 2 years, and now I thought of getting an MBA degree. I had to decide if I really wanted to pursue MBA or was I okay being in the field that I am. After a lot of thought process and guidance from various people, I finally decided to go forward with MBA. But it wasn’t just as easy as it sounds. As, I decided to prepare for CAT without quitting the job. The biggest challenge I faced was to balance work and my study preparation for the exams. My schedule was very hectic since after a tiring day of work I had to sit with my studies for CAT. Days went by and I managed to clear the exams and got shortlisted for GIM. I tendered my resignation in the company I worked in and Joined GIM. Today when I look back, I feel all those hardworking hours and struggle that I put in did not go in vain and I’m glad things worked out the way they did and I finally ended up in a place that I enjoy so very much.
