Name an instance where you wanted something and went out of your comfort zone to achieve it OR Tell us the biggest risk you have taken so far in your life.
When we had to close our startup and the product we were working on, I still wanted to work in Content Marketing. I decided to restart my journey as a Content Marketing freelancer. I started creating content on Instagram, LinkedIn and reached out to people in my community. I also started a YouTube channel and a Podcast. It was entirely out of my comfort zone because I had never interviewed anyone or created videos for a YouTube channel. It has been seven months since I started my journey again, and 2021 has been the highest-earning year so far. Another instance when I went out of my comfort zone was when we had to play for an Intersection Sports Competition at the Institute. I have never played sports in my entire life. I didn't even watch sports on TV. I was more of a cultural person who liked dancing. Even when I joined Joka, I was sceptical whether I would fit in well because I had heard a lot about the sports culture here. When I came to the campus and started attending sports events as a spectator, I enjoyed it and decided to represent my section in the Kabaddi competition. Even though we didn't win any position, we played well, and I felt happy about taking that initiative.
When was the last time someone relied on you? OR What did you do which was purely for someone else - a truly selfless act.
When I was working as a freelancer, one of the YouTube channels reached out to me for Content-related guidance. But they said they couldn't pay me. I checked out their channel, and I liked the content they were producing. So I had agreed to help them strategize content for their YouTube channel and Instagram. I also helped them repurpose the existing content and promote it. I did that without any monetary incentive or any other testimonial or incentives.
Tell us about a time when you disagreed with an opinion/idea/decision. What did you do about it?
COVID second wave affected many of our interns and their families, and our work got hampered. It was up to the three co-founders, me and two of my friends, to decide whether to continue with it or close it down. Although I was against closing the project, we discussed and analysed all the work and plans. After a lot of discussions, we concluded that it was necessary to close the project. Although I disagreed with the idea, I had to take the step because it was essential.
What is the one thing you can claim to have some level of expertise or depth of knowledge in - it could be anything - a subject, a sport, a hobby, a venture, an initiative which has led you to do deep work in that field?
Content Marketing I started my startup with two of my friends in 2018, completed some courses in Digital Marketing, completed some internships in the Content space, and worked with multiple clients to hone my skill set. I've managed multiple social media accounts and consulted many businesses to grow their business online.
If 10 Million Dollars (approximately INR 75 Crores) is given to you to use it any way you deem fit what would you do with this corpus?
If I had $10 million, I would like to use it to continue the Mental Health initiative that we started in 2020.I would like to create better mental health awareness and campaigns to break the stigma around it. The initiative will be aimed at making Mental health more accessible to people, especially college-going students, and provide them the right guidance and direction to make them feel more joyful in life.
