My camaraderie with ABG is about trust and commitment that we have for each other. ABG is on my phone since 2012 when I first purchased a SIM of Idea. Even in remote areas, I was able to connect with people via phone. It has made life so simple in every way possible. I hope my relationship with ABG remains as rhythmic and as passionate, as it has been for so many years now.
Challenges I faced in my life that made me What I am Today!
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone! I am no different. I knew to reach the summit, I will have to climb the steep and serpentine roads. I was working when I began preparing for MBA entrances, and I faced a hard time balancing both the sides of my life. Work required at least 9 hours a day and along with that 2 hours of travelling. In the beginning, I could hardly take out time for studies. I knew that whatever I intend to achieve requires dedication as well as a bit of sacrifice. Spending time with friends, hanging out on weekends became a luxury for me. On weekends, when everyone else would be planning to go on a trip, I would be there sitting in my room planning the schedule to be followed the whole day and the topics to be completed by the end of the day. I used to travel to coaching centers to give my mocks every weekend so that I can get the perfect simulated environment of that of the D-day. But the results were not satisfactory. It began to affect my mental health and I was turning towards depression. Finally, the D-day came. I performed worse than I performed in mocks and the result was that I could not get admitted to any good B-school.
I felt like quitting. Was it worth it! was the question I kept on posing to myself? All the hard work and efforts that I put into, was it all in vain?
Days went by, it was the month of March 2018, that I planned to give it another shot. I pulled up my socks and made a promise to myself that this time I would put my best efforts, work on my strategy and crack a good B-school anyhow. The travelling time became my reading time. I would complete newspaper reading as well as article reading on my way to or way back from office. I knew that I have to steal my own time to benefit my own self.
I would spend just 15 min having lunch and the rest 45 min were used to solve logical/analytical questions. As soon as work for the day completed and I still had some time left, I would go to the library to have a quick glance on Quant formulae. After reaching home, I used to take out at least 2 hours to study. I was totally dedicated and followed my schedule religiously. I very well learned to manage my work along with my studies. Taking mock exams on the weekends, which earlier depressed me, brought a smile on my face now. As I was satisfied with my performance, it brought out a positive effect on my work as well. I exceled at work, which also helped me get recognition from my manager.
Finally, the tree of my hard work bore fruit. All the challenges I faced, all the hardships that came my way were for my own good. It changed me for better, I became a good manager and learned to manage my time and to optimise efforts to bring out the best result.
