How I overcame challenges to achieve goals?
Quitting Chartered Accountancy Course was a challenge. Coming from a Accounting and Finance background and having all brothers and sisters as Chartered Accountants around, it was assumed and decided that I had to become a CA. But after starting the course, I realized this is what not what I want to do my entire life. After still not giving up and giving 3 attempts ad failing rigorously, it was time for self-evaluation rather than just the “Go with the Flow attitude”. This is where I figured out that my interests don’t lie in doing Taxation, Accounting or Auditing as a whole. It was time for a change. A decision had to be taken which was hard as already enough time, effort and money was dedicated. Patience, Decision Making Power, Proper Reasoning were some of the qualities which helped me convince my parents and my cousins that MBA is what would make me better professionally. Still, the game isn’t over. The biggest question was whether I will be able to do an MBA or will I loose, waste time, energy, money and quit this also was the question again. But with hard-work, determination, never to give up attitude and faith in myself, here I am doing my MBA from one of the top B-schools in the world. It’s okay to quit if that makes you “YOU” in your life. I broke the stereotypes my changing the Family Traditions of becoming a CA because in the end, you should believe in your inner self and follow your passion along with happiness.
