To my surprise, the recruiter blatantly tells me that they will not be selecting me and proceeds to give me advise on how to better groom myself for upcoming interviews and not lose hope. He gave me a list of do's and don'ts before an interview. Told me 3 books to read as soon as possible and told me the areas of marketing knowledge that I need to brush up.
This was my first interview where I left feeling confident. Not because I knew I aced it. But because I knew I'll ace the next one. And I did.
Aditya Birla Group in my life
Aditya Birla Group is one of the first names that comes to my mind when I think of Indian Conglomerates that have made it large in the entire world. ABG spans a total of 34 countries and employs 1,20,000 employees. When I as an average Indian reflect upon my daily life, it surprises me on the extent of penetration Aditya Birla Group has on my lifestyle, and how indispensable is its value to me as a customer both directly and indirectly, to its shareholders, its employees and the society at large.
So many activities of my day-to-day life are touched by the Aditya Birla Group. First, I am able to easily contact my family and friends and use high-speed mobile internet because of Vodafone Idea Limited.
Second, in a B-school, formals are an integral part of proper dressing. I cherish the branded label clothes of Allen Solly and Van Heusen.
Apart from this, I wouldn’t shy away from recognizing its significant contribution to the cover glass of the fancy smartphone that I use; to the high standards of resistance quality offered by Birla Carbon to the tyres that make my social life accessible; and not to forget the massive support Aditya Birla companies such as Ultra Tech Cement and Birla Copper make to the transport system of India, which is indeed the backbone of our economy.
All in all, the more I learn about this group, the more enlightened I get of the exposure it has on my life. I am a proud customer of the products and services of Aditya Birla Group and will continue to remain, given the social initiatives it is involved in, be it the installment of 1000 Biogas plants, its support towards child education and nourishment, healthcare CSR, women empowerment, and many such initiatives taken by the group for the upliftment of India as a growing economy.
