The epiphany of joining IMT amidst the dose of anxiety perpetuated due to politics in UP. Yes, we transform as soon as we take some decisions and is epitomised by how we evolve. We wonder where we have camouflaged ourselves and where did we disappear. We are the choices that we make and it echoes our soul. The irony of ephemeral marketing where products quickly go out of fashion and become a fad. The trend of "Sarahah" is what the present generation stands for, instant gratification and peer learning.
Accenture Team
My previous experience as a Business Analyst had made me wiser of the opportunities and necessities of technology that moulds us. I realised my importance as any mistake would create an avalanche effect and the need for communication and coordination within the different stakeholders. I realised that to be an entrepreneur I needed much more than just my technical skills. I need to add to my analytical mind the thought process of a strategist, to the resolutions of an engineer the planning of a manager.
"There is a time for everything a time, and a season for everything under heaven". I was advised for one to fly one needs to cut off the branch in which he is sitting on. The IT Life was monotonous, whiling away time was a continuous function and yet within matter of time, time is a currency for me now.
Party Time
The weekend thrills of an IT life with sleeping, partying or just being lazy was a thing of the past. The MBA life was like the washing machine that centrifuged all the dust. The realization that unlike IT where you are responsible for your deliverable, here more often than not it's a team function. The amalgamation of perspectives and the divergence in opinion can be counterproductive.
The teachers insight can bring a plethora of ideas, into our imagination yet we have to streamline our vividness with clarity. The manager is meticulous yet articulate, charismatic yet persistent and it is here where the analytical skill of an IT professional combined with his creative persona can create wonders.Yes, it is still early days as an MBA student, but at the heart of it all, we are here managing our discomforts our insecurities and managing ourselves as a brand.
Suit Up for MBA
"Rome is not made in a day", similarly I realised the importance of patience in MBA and taking it as a marathon rather than a sprint of sorts."If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants". My advice is to "BE LED", abbreviated as:
Be Informed
Explore and Experiment
Leverage Everything
Exercise your mind and body
Dare to Dream-Take risks
My Native Place 'Kerala' with strong community ties and the dreams that have guided such success to fly to different parts of the world and prosper has led to the impetus of my ambitions as well. Moving to IMT, I envision myself to carve out my future to bring smiles.
