Undergrad is the most important phase in an individual's life, where almost most of the individuals don’t do anything except gaining their degrees. Same was the case with me, wherein during that I time I was just involved in living my life at ease without caring about anyone or anything. I would seldom attend my college sessions and would sit in canteen with bunch of friends. Being a student, one is always fond of traveling and exploring new things and I was one of them. I actually created a bunch of memories but will these help me to find my career prospects and growth?
The answer to this came automatically when the pandemic hit the world and lockdown was imposed. This was the time where I was forced to sit inside my home and reciprocate on the things that I did and things I needed to do in order to put myself in a self-growth phase. During this time, I started my preparation for CAT and hopefully entered into an IIM.
I initially thought that life at an IIM would be the same as a regular college wherein I could continue my same college life. But reality hit hard during the first week at the college itself. It was an Orientation week where we had to attend sessions in the morning and then go on with our orientation tasks assigned during the evening and then attend the orientation session at night. We hardly had time during those days to sleep.
A nonchalant guy like me found this transition a bit challenging but it was amusing as well. I would each day perform my best during these orientations and was able to cope with the same with fun and ease. This new MBA life was adding new horizons of growth to my life which was duly enjoyed and cherished by me. Each day, I would work on my tasks, take responsibilities and accountability, and would work hard to produce a better version of me.
Finally, MBA is transforming a casual guy into a professional manager who is actually loving this transition. Summing up the situation with a quote-
“It is not who we were, but who we are becoming that actually matters.”
