Mr. L Ramkumar, another member of the BoG, talked about work ethics, “Many of us think we are smart. Nowadays, Google offers every knowledge so, it is the depth of knowledge that creates value for individuals and organizations. So be responsible and accountable and your own brand name will flourish.”
Students were conferred degrees by the dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest and Chairman of Steel Authority of India, Smt. Soma Mandal said “As you start your professional journey, remember that there will be failures. We can't win all the battles but we need to believe in ourselves. Don’t let anything dent your confidence. Your self-belief will make others believe in you. There is no honor in suffering from negativity so move on and life will offer positive gifts.” Appealing to the students to think big, Mandal advised students to get mentors to keep on building their character. Failures are acceptable, but one should not stop trying. Through her speech, she asked the students to keep challenging their limits. She said “Keep challenging your limits. More so if you have reached a comfort zone in whatever you are doing. The moment you have reached a comfort zone it is time for a change.” Mrs. Mandal went on to say “One can be compassionate and strong and strong doesn't mean aggressive. Know the difference and you will be a leader.”
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
