One session taken by Mr. Amber Dubey, Partner and Head-Aerospace and Defence, KPMG in India, on the Indian aviation is an unforgettable moment for me. He talked about the Indian commercial aviation, why India lagged behind other countries despite having rich tourist places, diverse culture and what needs to be done to make it great. However, what I liked most is the statement he made – “who are your customers and what they want,” the underline concept of any business strategy. Before you dive in to solve any business problem, think of this simple statement. I tried this and it really makes a difference.
It has been a great experience every day since I have joined IIM Rohtak be it a classroom, be it guest lectures, various events or my amazing batch mates. In the end, I would say each passing day is full of fun and learning, and I hope if it goes on for eternity.

I like challenges. In the era of internet and e-commerce, where offline fashion retails are facing tough competitions from giants like Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio among others, it is an opportunity to prove my worth by fighting hard and overcome the challenges. It will always be a challenge and opportunity how we utilize the increasing no. of internet users, according to a BCG report the digital transaction in India could triple from $40 bn to $100 bn by 2020. Digital technology like AI, Machine Learning, AR/VR are also at boom; many companies are using technologies to maintain the competitive edge, how we deploy these technologies can make a significant difference. Most of the companies have also started their private label brands like Flipkart, Ajio, and lifestyle among others, posing another challenge. Surrounded by the challenges and opportunities, it will be exciting to see where the future lies, one thing we continuously need to do is to- fight.
