Hi Team, It would be better if some sense of professionalism is exhibited before posting an article of such a sensitive nature. The information provided here is half baked and false to a great extent. Amongst the so called companies mentioned to have cancelled internships, surprisingly enough, I happen to be interning in one of those and they have fully adhered to the commitments they made at the time of hiring. I know a lot of my friends who are interning this summer in these so called companies ( that have supposedly cancelled internships according to this article). Amidst such tough times, its a sincere request to not spread misinformation and bad mouth companies which have honored internships even in these times. Puts a huge doubt in your credibility. Proper research would be highly appreciated before posting something of this nature.

Hi, thanks for pointing this out. The data and names of companies have been provided by the students at the IIMs, who filled out the form sharing the details of the companies. We have received feedback from students (such as yourself) regarding discrepancies with the names of the companies that have cancelled or delayed internships. To verify the same, we reached out to students who provided us with the information. It has emerged that students, while providing us with the data, were unsure of their internship status and have only recently been notified of the commencement of their internships - as recent as of this date. In one case, an internship was revoked by the organization but the student obtained an internship at the company through their personal contacts. As and when we receive more feedback, we will conduct verification calls and amend the article, if required. Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Team I am seriously surprised to see the level of discrepancy in your information. I am currently employed at one of the comapnies mentioned here and all the interns who were given the offer have already started their internship. Revising the list isn't enough as you are destroying the repuatation of companies which are working hard to ensure that they don't hve to cancel any offers. You should seriously remove this article until you have verified each and every name properly. Extremely disheartening to see this article.

It is mentioned in the opening of the article that Companies are cancelling internships due to their want to save funds which is NOT the only reason, there is also another possibility of the Companies Core business being halted which wouldnt allow an internship to happen - eg BFSI where data security is very highly regulated, or Manufacturing/Sales roles which are on field and cant be executed virtually. While it could be possible that they could have given a theoretical/research based project and continued, its not fair to bucket all the companies with the tag that they are conserving money.

I think data is incorrect. There are a lot of companies who have started their internship and many are yet to start.
