Aditya Birla Group, a US $44.3 billion corporation, is in the League of Fortune 500 companies and is one of the most prestigious groups across the whole world. It would be an honor to work in any of the subsidiaries of the company for anyone. But personally the company that I would to work at would be Idea Cellular Ltd. Idea is one of the best brands when it comes to telecom. Millennials have grown up listening to “Get an Idea Sirjeee” and this stays with us even today. The thing that excites me most about Idea is the future potential of the company. Already it enjoys a 19% share of the market, which translates to almost 200 million subscribers. Also the mission statement of Idea that is "We will Delight our Customers while meeting their individual communication needs anytime anywhere” perfectly aligns with the advances in telecom that are happening especially in 5G. Since I have a working experience of 4 years mostly in developing telecom technologies like CDMA, 3G and 4G what would be a better company to utilize my skill set? Given that Department of Technology has now given a go-ahead to the IdeaVodafone merger the day is not far away that Idea will become a global telecom giant in the foreseeable future.
