Hence Aditya Birla Group touches upon all the aspects of our life ranging from laying the foundation of a strong structure or value system to ensuring safety in the form of health insurance and safe tyres.
A challenge is something which gives us an opportunity to put our best foot forward and make it big in life. A challenge is not tough or easy. It depends on the situation and the way the challenge is perceived which makes it difficult or easy to overcome. A similar situation also arose in my life. From my childhood days I have always faced stage fear. Moreover my overweight had entangled me in the shadows of low confidence and inferiority complex. When I was in class 12, my school had provided us the opportunity to participate in Republic Day Parade (March Past) which was being held in Kolkata. This would be a state level event which would be attended by the chief minister and other state ministers. The school authorities made it compulsory to have multiple rounds of auditions before final selection of students who would be participating. I had an urge to participate in the event but I was aware of the fact that my weight would act as a bottleneck. I was also certain of the fact that this was the best opportunity to overcome my stage fear. I prepared my mind to lose weight before I lose this opportunity. Few months before the auditions, I started working on my body and bringing it back to shape. I tried all forms of physical, mental and psychological means to lose 10 kg’s of weight in two and a half months. I was not only selected for participation but I was also chosen to be the right hand marker of my marching contingent. Moreover, marching on the red road instilled in me the confidence to face the audience and perform without any hesitation. This incident has had a very significant impact in my life as it has changed me for better. It had helped to overcome other difficulties in life where I would have to face the stage. It has also been very helpful while I am pursuing MBA because stage fear is something that can makes us take our foot backward where we are supposed to take steps forward and lead from the front.
