The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Shalini Urs, Founder and chairperson, MYRA School of Business and Dr. Sudhindra Sheshadri, Dean. Later Dr. Urs gave the visitors a snapshot of higher education in India. The presentation was followed by an interactive group discussion on several issues pertaining to higher education in general and management education in particular. The CIOs shared their views and experiences on matters pertaining to accreditation of institutions; entrance tests and talent acquisition as well as the demand for and supply of highly specialised management courses including sports management, insurance management and tourism management. The discussion enlightened everyone about the common issues faced by industry and academia in both nations.
The program ended with a power lunch where as per the tradition at MYRA, a privileged group of students drawn from the PGDM and PGPX courses had lunch with the delegates and had a lively and mutually enriching discussion on topics ranging from football to financial reforms; from Beethoven to business analysis.
