One of our most exciting experiences till date in college was when the lot of us participated in the Merchants of Delhi, an event which was organised by the seniors. The entire fresher batch had to leave their phones and wallets. All of us were given only hundred and fifty bucks and were supposed to go around the city and earn the maximum money for our teams using nothing but our skills. We were supposed to sell ourselves and learn how to market and pitch ourselves best. Our team split ourselves and we earned money by recommending places to visit in the city, singing, doing a flash mob, engaging large groups in competitions and games. We managed to earn quite a lot through the day and it helped us grow as people. I personally benefitted greatly from the experience as it helped me let go of my inhibitions which stopped me from approaching random people. It was a unique experience and probably something that I would never have got elsewhere.
Crazy Classmates
Some of our batchmates have crazy skillsets. Tarun Singh can do amazing things with numbers with an amazing command over Vedic Maths. Sahithi Audi is a trained Carnatic singer and does magic with music. Shanky has a knack for mimicking people and can pick up even the smallest of habits of people and portray them in a comic manner. Debangana is an excellent Bengali actor and her dialogue delivery in some of Rabindranath's poems could probably move even the most heartless of people.
Dream ABG Company and why?
I would love to join ABG group in the retail and fashion segment. Their chain Pantaloons focuses on great quality products and other than having its own brands also holds some of the best brands in the country. Their in-house range is something that gives them a unique edge. Their ability to manage their inventory and bring in new fashion's as per the season is something that truly drives their sales. Their great designs and class is their USP and something that really them apart from the crowd and managing that challenge in the fashion segment really enthrals me.
