It is next to impossible to live in India and not have used at least one product that has come from the illustrious house of Aditya Birla. Brands like Peter England, Aditya Birla Retail, Idea Cellular, etc. have become household names and are renowned all over for their impeccable quality. These are brands that I have grown up with around me and which have become an inseparable part of my life and the lives of millions and millions around me; such has been the impact of Aditya Birla Group on India and the lives of Indians. The Group is also making strides in building the infrastructure of India and helping it in its race to become the next superpower. This can be seen by the efforts that the Group puts in through its companies like Hindalco, Indian Aluminium Company, Shree Digvijay Cement, UltraTech Cement Ltd just to name a few. These companies are paramount in the efforts of building the India of tomorrow today.
It would take one hours and hours if one were to list down the contribution that ABG has made to the lives of Indians and India itself such is the magnitude of their work. They have shown that a business can make a difference while still having a great topline and bottomline and I, for one, cannot wait to see what the Group does next and how they take their illustrious journey forward. To Aditya Birla Group I say, What an Idea Sirji! #NMIMSMumbai #ABGLPWOOMe
The Uphill Battle Called Life
Life is a series of challenges and how well you do in life depends on how well you flow from one challenge to the next while making the most of that journey. I can say with a great deal of confidence that you’ll never find a person who has never faced challenges in his/her life and I am no different.
One of the biggest challenges that came in my life was during my class 10 boards; as is the case with every student, it was my ambition to do exceedingly well in them. I prepared hard for them throughout the year and I made sure I left no stones unturned in achieving that goal of mine; but as fate would have it, I began to fall ill over the course of that year and it kept on getting worse as time progressed. To add to the difficulties, the doctors weren’t able to figure out what exactly it was that was ailing me. I kept on motoring through all the pain that my illness sent my way because I knew I had to achieve my goal as I won’t get another chance at it.
Then finally, the doctors figured out what it was and they told me that the best way out it was surgery, the only problem being the fact that my board examinations were perilously close at that point in time. So I had to choose between going for the surgery now, and not studying for at least two weeks with the exams on my head or I could bear the difficulties till the exams were over and then get the procedure done. I decided to put the exams first as I had put too much effort towards them already and I ended with the result I wanted.
I learned that all you really need in life to overcome any challenge is to have faith in yourself and your decisions and the support of your family and friends; if you have these things with you then there isn’t much you cannot overcome. #NMIMS Mumbai #ABGLPWooMe
