The summer internship process began with sitting through which then seemed like endless group discussions and personal interviews. I was very excited when Big Basket came to our college and my name was on their final list.
I vividly remember the first day of my internship. They had a structured program designed for us. The first week, we were taken through the company processes, a visit to their warehouse and an overview of what our remaining 7 weeks would look like. They also made us meet the founders and our mentor.
For the next week, we underwent a lot of training to get a deeper understanding of our domain and specifically our work. They were kind enough to solve all our queries and did their best to give us as much practical exposure as possible.
The aim of the project was to understand the existing media management of Big Basket B2B and enhance it if possible. My learning was immense as I got to work on multiple tools and work with multiple teams to do my research, testing and make my final proposal.
My mentor was very supportive all throughout. He was the national buying head in the B2B domain. His feedback will help me understand my strengths and better my weaknesses.
