Participate In Summer Saga Season 8 & Win Upto Rs. 15,000!
Hi, Tell us about how you got selected for this internship? Take us through the moment you realized you had got the internship.
Through campus interview, I was interviewed about strategy-based questions on how I can find the wilful misrepresentation in compensation by hired staff for campaigns. The answers which struck me were very well structured and as the interviewer kept probing in the direction I wanted, I realised that I will get the internship.
On joining the company as an intern, how has your onboarding experience been like?
I had my reservations initially given the current pandemic situation, but the communication through HR was on point. We were accommodated in a clean and hygienic 3-star hotel for the first few days. On our first day of internship, we were introduced to everyone from other interns to the director, making it a perfect ice breaker. Also, we were informed about our first project and a mentor briefed us. Overall, making it a very fruitful onboarding project.
How has your interaction with the team members and colleagues been like? How will you make sure to leave the best impression on your supervisors by the end of the internship?
I was partnered with batchmates from my college itself. But pandemic had limited our interaction, therefore this was the first real experience with them.
We were given a project on data visualisation in which 2 of us, including me, had preliminary knowledge but all 4 of us were inexperienced. We all saw the tutorials, learned from each other by sitting continuously for 9 hrs for 2 consecutive days. With this team effort we were able to quickly learn Google Data Studio.
Afterwards we were told to prepare a dashboard individually and present, so we worked individually but kept a brainstorming session to review and learn from each others dashboard.
Discipline, Listening and Communication skills, Understanding what the supervisor wants are the three mantras I go by. Mixed with Attitude to elevate each other and constructive criticism helped me to deliver the project within a record week time. And this is how I wish to leave an impression on my supervisors by delivering by the end of my internship
Tell us in brief, about the project you are currently working on and how is this project going to help the company?
Firstly, there are multiple projects that I have been given. Currently, I worked on creating a dashboard to present real-time data on the election campaign activities done by the company for the party on election day polling. The dashboard was prepared for Senor Cabinet Ministers. It got approved and the test run for the same was also conducted successfully.
The company as the name suggests provides a strategic solution with the use of technology. My project will help them to achieve the same by replacing the existing paper mode of presenting reports with a digital dashboard. But, most importantly it is real-time and therefore will help the client to take decision effectively and get ahead in the competition, therefore happy. This will consequently benefit the company.
