Highlights
- First-time companies on campus were Facebook, Accel Partners, Catamaran Ventures, Merck, Alshaya, EBay, GE, Sony, Shell, DuPont and Uninor.
- Placements were concluded in 8 slots spread over 4 days with 265 offers made in the first 2 days. 100 women participated for the first time ever.

"Blackstone group" visits only IIM bangalore , or does it visit any other campus also ?

Well, the special thing about IIM Banaglore is that it gets the London desk of Blackstone group, which otherwise recruits only from LBS for summer internship. IIT-Bombay gets the Mumbai desk. The Mumbai desk does visit IIMA and IIMB for final placements.

nothing great for me........IIM B already takes the best students so it is obvious they will get good placements.......if some B school helps non-toppers to get dream opportunities after passing out i will prefer that

No b-school will give u dream opportunities in summers if you are non-topper in UG or non-iitian or donot have releavant workex or donot have spike in CV.....if you are just an average guy during ur pre-mba and still want a dream job, become one of the toppers in your MBA course to get the same in finals..........else lower ur expectations.....

Well hard as it may sound. It is true at all Bschools.. Dream companies flock dream campuses to get "dream" students. Avg student even at Top bschools gets an avg job

The step that you have taken after the report on summer placements of IIM Lucknow makes you sound robotic and monotonous, it looks like lack of personal touch or may be compassion. My ranking of Bschools Ranked 1 - IIM A, IIMC, IIMB, IIM L Ranked 2 - ISB H, JBIMS, XLRI J & FMS D Ranked 3 -SP Jain, IIM I, IIM K, IIFT Ranked 4 - NMIMS, MDI G & IMT G, SIBM P, XIM B, Nitie & SJSOM XL/FMS are no longer contenders for fifth rank as ISB has overatken them to claim fifth spot. Kudos ISB.

Yes, neither UBS nor Credit Suisse recruited from IIM Bangalore this year. Its depends on the company's requirements. UBS, for that matter, recruited only from IIMB in the finals last year. They did not go to either IIMA or IIMC. This year UBS went to IIMA and IIMC for the 2-3 intern requirement. So did Credit Suisse. Goldman Sachs, the most sought after I-Bank world wide, went only to IIMA and IIMB for the 8-9 intern requirement they had. Morgan Stanley, another sought after I-Bank, went only to IIMA. Having said that, IIMB had more I-Bank offers this year than IIMC. Figures for IIMA are kind of not clear. But I would assume them to be closer to IIMB's. While the three campuses are almost equal in terms of finance placements, I think it is IIMA, and not IIMC, that commands more power than the rest and has the best finance placements.
