The Brand which laid the foundation of “Me” – Soumi Basu, IIM Rohtak

ABG grew me not just professionally, but also affected my personal front. It's not a hidden fact that college is one of the best times in almost every individual's life, students not just get the opportunity to explore new fields and innovate new perspectives but also make new friends and contacts who stay with them through life. I myself made some amazing friends during my college years who have still been standing throughout my thick and thin, the kind of people I feel blessed to have found. I had the chance to interact with some of the best minds in the field of engineering through IEEE workshops and attend numerous robotics workshops myself. I became an integral part of a Non-Profit Organization operating from BITS Pilani University, Hyderabad and worked towards the uplifting of orphan kids and providing insights to school-kids about the various career fields they can pursue post high-school.

My UG university paved the path for my career progression for the better and there was no turning back from there. For starters, I got a lot of job opportunities due to the reputation of my college and the capabilities it helped me develop. I joined an MNC as a software developer and even though I was a callower, I learned everything efficiently and was awarded two SPOT awards for my performance. My professors taught me to dream big and encouraged me to pursue Management. Hence, I started preparing for CAT and scored a seat in the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak in my very first attempt.

BITS Pilani changed my life for the better, bombarded with so many opportunities and happy sweet memories. The college shaped my formless perspective about the world, gave me a completely new vision and the inspiration to go ahead and make a difference in my life and the lives of others. BITS Pilani defined my existence and it's a label I would proudly carry on me for the rest of my life.
