First of all, know yourself thoroughly. Your job and responsibilities, your dreams, reason for doing MBA, etc and write it down. 50% of the questions asked to you in PI will be on this area only. Plus, keep reading newspapers. Additionally, if you are a fresher, select a couple of subjects that you have studied and go through them thoroughly.

A thing that helps in wat is: perspective. What is your take on a burning issue, or a problem? My advice to you would be to read newspaper daily, take a news item, analyse it thoroughly, develop ur view on it and write an essay every day. I will recommend you IMS interview prep books, they were really good. Plus, you can find essay topics on testfunda as well.

I did not appear for CAT this year, so don't have much info about expected percentiles. Having said that, you can refer following link for slot 2 analysis: https://insideiim.com/cat-2017-detailed-analysis-expected-cutoffs-slot-2-career-launcher/?src=abhishek

First of all, let the results arrive. Who knows, you might just get enough percentile. Till then, keep doing the basic work mentioned in the article. Ping me after the results though.

I had focused more on DM part. Plus, I would solve one mock XAT every 3-4 days. I would read GK archives from insideIIM and IMS as well. I had not prepared anything for the essay, but I would advise you to write a couple of essays every week and get it checked from your mentor/tutor. This worked for me. Additionally, if you are weak in any particular area, say quants, they spend more time on it than DM, as DAM can be done intuitively as well. If you need any further help, feel free to ping me.

I will give you an honest advise: the gap of 1 year can haunt you during your MBA placements, if you don't do anything else than just the CAT prep. I had also taken a gap after my graduation, but I was working on a startup, started blogging, created online educational courses and also interned with Unacademy. Even after all this, I faced some trouble during the pre-placement (shortlisting) phase. So, I'd advise you to get a decent job and then start preparing for CAT 2018. (Or, if you have some dream that you want to fulfill, do that first).

Thankyou sir for your reply. But can you suggest me some courses which i could do during the preparation and if i starts working in my own family industry will it give me any leverage?

For the courses: Digital Marketing, CFA, NSE Trading Course. You may join Toastmasters also. Plus, anything that you wanted to do but didn't get time to. Answering your second question: I am not sure, but maybe yes, it will give you some advantage, as you'll get some work experience, will learn new things and will get enough time to prepare for CAT 2018 as well. Just a personal opinion: I believe in earning my position, and so refrain from working with my family, or relatives, just because they ask me to. I'll advise you to find a job of your own, in case you wish to work. A struggle is an experience in itself, and the success you get after the grueling struggle is a just like a stairway to heaven. Again, just my personal opinion, you can do anything that suits you.
