Be it banking, be it cement, be it fashion, be it financial services, be it telecom. One word that resonates throughout is ADITYA BIRLA GROUP. The biggest conglomerate of the country has added so much value to my life through its products and services that it has become essential like food and water to me.
How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far
“Real change is difficult at the beginning, but gorgeous at the end. Change begins the moment you get the courage and step outside your comfort zone; change begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
― Roy T. Bennett
I wish I came across this quote earlier in my life. Since childhood, being an introvert, I lived a very sheltered life in my own cocoon of comfort and convenience, hiding behind my parents as a kid and then finding solace in my close-knit group of friends. Whenever a new opportunity knocked my door, I had the same set of questions to fight with- “What will others think of me?”, “Will I end up becoming a laughingstock for everyone” but I never took any efforts to face my fears and fight them.
Life happened and school got over and a new dynamic world of Graduation College waited for me. I still vividly remember the orientation day of our college, seeing people from diverse backgrounds being their best in diverse mix of activities. Their enthusiasm and confidence made me realize the importance of opportunities that I was missing on. I made a decision for myself, no more hiding behind my insecurities and fears and face the world and challenges that awaited.
I was fortunate enough to have a plethora of opportunities to choose from. Waking up, gathering courage, keeping self doubt at bay became my drill. My first little victory came by being elected as the Class Representative. It made me believe in myself a little more, since then there has been no looking back. From being crowned as Miss Freshers’ to being awarded excellence in Public Relations. From performing Nukkad Natak at the biggest fest of Western India to being an anchor for various college events. From a timorous Class Representative to a self-assured General Secretary.
And finally, on the D-day when I was on the stage receiving the PRIDE OF THE YEAR award, there was a flashback of memories that how a single yet so significant decision changed my life and made me a better version of myself, who is ready to face every challenge and grab every opportunity tat comes my way
