Monika – I opted out of placements and did a startup….after its crash, I went into a corporate stint and then got back to Blue Ribbon, my social enterprise

Nice reading about passion, and beautifully delivered. However, I would like to contest you opinion (Stop searching for your passion | Terri Trespicio | TEDxKC). What's your comment about this?

Dear Govinda, The response to this would be an entire article in itself! But here are a few things as I see it One, the 'pressure' to find passion can surely be unhealthy - but we live in a world where most people aren't pushed to do that, so no harm in pushing a bit.... Two, she defines passion as emotion (or compelling emotion)....to me passion is a much more spiritual longing....something that calls out to you beyond being explainable.....something that need not be 'career' immediately but is surely a gift we have to bring to the world...honouring it is not only beautiful but a moral obligation! And finally, the passion that comes from success is dubious - there are way too many people successful at things they didn't want to do in the first place.....to me that sounds like an arranged marriage where you fall in love with the person you marry rather than marry the person you love... I'm a believer in love marriage whenever possible! :)
