Few years back, I lost my grandmother. Her sudden demise left all the members of our family dismayed. I being the youngest one, was attached to her the most. I grew up being around her and this tragic incident left me emotionally unstable. During that time, my final examinations were going on. I could not concentrate on my studies and I lost hope. That day my father came up to me and said a meaningful line , " If something is important enough, even if the odds are against you, you should still do it. " After getting his encouragement I gathered all my strength and I passed my examinations with good marks. From that day till now, I've always followed his teaching and it has kept me statisfied.
*Major lessons learnt -
1) I learnt to maintain an equilibrium between my personal and my professional/educational life. In order to be successful in any aspect of life, one must know to establish a boundary between their different phases of life.
2) I gained an understanding of handling hardships and keeping away from distractions. Life throws many stones your way. Regardless of the tough issues you may face, it's getting up and moving forward that counts the most in life. It is rightly said, " When the going gets tough, the tough get going. "
